Vespa GTS 125 Tuning by Malossi

VE (UK) stock all the performance upgrades for the Vespa GTS 125 manufactured by Malossi, that allow the owner to further enhance their riding experience.

Engine Components: One of the most popular Malossi upgrades for the 125cc engine is their 218cc cylinder kit with Force Master ECU (VM316090). For those owners wishing to further improve engine performance, the cylinder is also available with the V4 cylinder head and Power Cam (VM316268). Importantly, for machines already fitted with the 218cc cylinder the V4 Head (VM383273) and Power Cam (VM591962) are available separately.

Transmission Components: Malossi’s range of transmission parts leave no stone unturned. Exhaust: Manufactured from black anodised aluminium and tipped with a real carbon fibre end cap, the "RX" exhaust features a vibration reduction system using three mounting blocks that have been designed and tested throughly to minimise the effects of transmitted vibration from the scooters engine and road surface.

Suspension: Performance, Comfort, Safety, Reliability - these are the four main criteria from any suspension technology and Malossi have ticked all the right boxes once again. Developed from their extensive knowledge of suspension from the highly regarded race events in Italy these dampers offer the ultimate in suspension for the GTS.

Clutch: The “Delta” adjustable clutch (VM521821) is available either as a stand alone item or as a kit (VM526918) with matching clutch drum.

Electronics: Malossi’s O2 controller (VM554746) connects inline between the original Lambda sensor and the CDI converting the received signals and modifying them to give the optimal air to fuel ratio.

CIF Carbone Height Adjustable Dampers for Vespa PX/T5/LML

Brand new at VE (UK) are a pair of high quality dampers for the Vespa PX/T5 and LML scooters from CIF, which are marketed under their premium Carbone suspension product line. 

The new dampers are constructed with an aluminium body, and feature a dual action gas/oil damper. This ensures you a comfortable ride with maximum road control, with damping present in both the compression and extension strokes. The chrome plated spring is adjustable via a threaded collar, allowing full control of preload to achieve your desired feel.

What really makes these dampers stand out from the crowd is their ride height adjustment feature. This is achieved via a second threaded adjuster that increases or decreases the length of the body, without affecting suspension performance or feel. Polini PWK Carbs from VE (UK)

Now available from VE (UK) are three new universal Polini 2T carburettors, that have been individually hand checked by technicians to ensure the highest possible quality.

Featuring a “D” shaped chrome plated alloy slide to reduce slide friction and improve resistance to wear over time, as well as hand tuned float level control and needle seal. Cast from a lightweight aluminium, the Polini PWK carbs are available in 30, 32, and 34mm diameters. 

Every carburettor is assembled by hand in the Polini factory to meet their stringent quality control procedures. The 30mm carburettor uses a 35mm carb rubber, while the 32mm and 34mm versions use a 40mm carb rubber.

Malossi Yamaha YZF-R 125 "Trophy Kit"

Malossi manufacturer a fantastic range of tuning products for the lightweight motorcycle market, and also run their own race series for the Yamaha YZF-R 125 motorcycles.  

Their range includes the “Trophy Kit” as fitted to the race series bikes, that increases performance with a 182cc cylinder kit, Forcemaster 2 ECU, E14 air filter and Malossi GP MHR Replica full exhaust system. 

The cylinder kit is manufactured from Nikasil plated aluminium alloy with a high content of hardened and tempered silicone. Final machining of the cylinders with CNC machines ensures a tolerance of less than 0.05mm resulting in a perfect cylinder to piston interface.

The included “Force Master 2" CDI unit that has four different pre-configured mappings to suit various tuning configurations. In addition the CDI unit also raises the rev limiter by 1000rpm allowing not only a greater top speed but also improved acceleration throughout the gear range.

The GP MHR replica exhaust system is manufactured from stainless steel with an oval cross section featuring carbon fibre end caps, and is fitted with a DB killer for road use. 

Over and above the cylinder kits Malossi also manufacture a cam shaft (YM593877) and rear shock absorber (0646014245) for the YZF-R for those owners who wish to tune their machine further.

Malossi have updated their popular “Over Range” transmission kit for the Yamaha T Max 530 with new key components, available from VE (UK).

The new “Over Range” kit for the 2012-2016 model years is built around the latest generation of the Multivar variator, the “MHR Next”, which has improved roller ramp, and drive face angles to widen the gear range. These distinct changes further improves the smoothness of the acceleration and response as well as an improved power curve. 

Combined with the new larger diameter torque driver, and fixed half-pulley, which are also included, the “Over Range” kit gives a noticeable improvement over the standard transmission setup.

Vespa PX125 Performance Cylinder Kits

VE (UK) offer a wide range of performance products for the PX 125 from leading tuning specialists. The most popular upgrade for the PX 125 is a performance cylinder kit, with options available from Malossi, Pinasco, and Polini.

Malossi:

The iconic 166cc cylinder kit from Malossi has recently seen an upgrade to the included cylinder head. The head now features a central plug hole and cooling fins on the underside to dissipate heat better than ever before.

NEW - Pinasco Vespa Small Frame Crankcases

VE (UK) showcase the latest performance product from Italian Classic Vespa specialists Pinasco.

The new Pinasco crankcase for the Vespa Small frame is available in two versions, the “Slave Naked” for rotary induction, and the “Slave 8X” for reed valve induction, featuring an 8 petal reed block. 

Both versions utilise a 88mm diameter Pinasco crankshaft, and feature larger bearing seats, and reinforcement on critical stress areas. 

Pinasco have also introduced a system to allow the gear cluster to be changed without removing the engine from the frame, and only having to remove the clutch assembly to access the removal of the gear cluster. This has been achieved by developing their “Removable gear system” to allow racers to easily swap out ratios in the paddocks with the minimum of fuss.

Owners of the Vespa GTS 300 looking to refine the performance from their scooters transmission assembly are well catered for by Italian scooter tuning specialists Malossi.

Their transmission range includes, amongst other items, a performance variator assembly, kevlar drive belt, and the Delta adjustable clutch kit.

Keihin Type Universal Carburettors

Choosing a performance carburettor can often be a tricky affair with so many offerings on the market today. VE (UK) stock a great range of Keihin type universal 2T carbs, which are available in 24mm, 28mm, and 30mm.

The rubber mounted carbs are suitable for fitment to any 2T machine and are particular suited to Vespa and Lambretta scooters that are being tuned. Supplied with carb rubber, fuel hose and clips, and jubilee clips. Of particular note is that the 24mm version uses a 28/30mm carb rubber increasing the number of inlet manifolds to choose from.

All sizes feature a “D” shaped polished slide with the 24mm version also sporting a power jet. VE (UK) stock a wide range of jets, cable choke conversion, and spares for the carburettors.
