Pinasco Continue To Innovate Classic Vespa Tuning With Fantastic New Products

Pinasco, is a great Italian name renowned for producing classic Vespa cylinder kits. They produce some of the finest cylinders available and continually strive to reinvent Classic Vespa tuning by introducing new products that build on their existing technology.

Pinasco have introduced a fantastic new 177cc kit for the Vespa PX 125, named the 177 V.I.T. (Valve Intake Transfer). The new cylinder marks a revolution in classic Vespa tuning with its impressive component choices. Built around a cast iron cylinder with direct valve intake, the cylinder is ported for performance no matter what style of riding is being undertaken. This impressive setup utilises a reed block pack produced from aluminium, fitted with carbon fibre petals. Linked to the reed block pack, a new type of carburettor has been included to offer the rider consistent fuelling no matter what demand is placed on the fuel system, thanks to it's integral fuel pump, air locks of the fuel system are eliminated. The major benefit of this style of carburettor is the removal of jets from the equation when setting up the scooter, only two adjustment screws for the regulation of idle speed exist making adjustment simple.

Another important feature of the V.I.T. setup is the ease of changing the Scooter back to its standard configuration should the need arise. A special plate is included to remove the necessity of modifying the rotary valve intake system, meaning returning to standard is simply a matter of refitting the original carb and cylinder.

Also new from Pinasco are two new gas flowed cranks, suitable for VNB, VBB, GL, GT, GTR and Sprint models of Classic Vespa’s. Built from high grade materials to Pinasco's exacting standards. The new cranks offer increased gas flow, allowing for advanced inlet timing, increasing performance through increased fuel mixture into combustion chamber.

Pinasco have also been working on their VRH cylinder head range, adding two new fitments for the PX 200. Designed for their 213cc cylinder with standard stroke crank and 225cc cylinder with 60mm crank, both heads feature centre spark plug configuration which produces a more even burn across the combustion chamber with a slight power increase.

Utilising a new machine that NZI have developed especially for their 3D helmets, this unique machine allows NZI to digitise images directly onto the helmet during the manufacturing process with no sign of stickers, vinyl or transfers anywhere in sight. With the T-Max being a heavy machine, protecting the bodywork and forks from damage during a tumble is of paramount importance to an owner. To this end VE (UK) can supply products that will not only enhance the look of the T-Max but also provide the required level of protection for the machine.

Protection for the front end of the machine is covered by two products, a front wheel spindle with built in crash bungs and handlebar end weights, both featured high quality nylon sliding surfaces to take the brunt of the force. Meanwhile the footboard area of the T-Max gains protection during a fall from a set of alloy floor plates with high grip rubber inserts for your feet, with nylon outriggers to protect the expensive bodywork.

Malossi Double Red Sponge Panel Air Filters

The latest development of their replacement red sponge filters, for the scooters OE air box, now feature a double layer to improve filtration of smaller particles.

The Double Red Sponge has been designed so that the first layer filters medium to large sized debris, whilst the second finer layer with its micro pores captures the microscopic dust particles that are the most damaging to the engine.

Fitment of the new style of filter is exceptionally easy, simply replace your existing OE filter element with the Malossi Double Red Sponge. For those owners who use their machines in very dusty environments, Malossi recommend lightly oiling the filter element with their fantastic 7.1 oil to aid dust capture.

The Ultimate Small Frame Vespa Clutch From Newfren

Finding the perfect clutch setup for use on the small frame Vespa’s has just become a whole lot easier, thanks to Newfren, the Italian clutch manufacturers. Imported by VE (UK) this new unit is their most advanced clutch assembly yet for the classic Scooter.

Featuring 24 springs at 30 degree intervals set in to a solid billet housing, which has been CNC machined to ensure the highest level of quality, the clutch assembly allows the user to vary the amount of pressure in the clutch by removing the smaller springs to make the unit a 12 spring assembly. Further adjustment can be made by the removal of the laser cut steel ring in the base of the clutch bell. This excellent design of clutch unit ensures a more consistent friction plate pressure across the whole clutch compared to conventional units.

The 4 plate assembly features oversized friction surfaces to help alleviate slipping, combined with a modified hardened central hub for the upmost reliability available.
