NEW - Vespa 50 Special Twin Filament Headlamp

Owners of a Vespa 50 Special (small frame) who have made tuning modifications to their scooters may need to upgrade their headlamp to comply with MOT regulations. VE (UK) now stock a replacement headlamp that takes a twin filament bulb.

The new headlamp is supplied with a matching bulb holder that uses the BA20d Bosch cap main/dip style bulbs. The lamp connects directly to the 2 headlamp springs and is larger in size, therefore removing the need for the internal headlamp rim. The headlamp is suitable for non halogen bulbs only.

NEW - Malossi Vespa PX200 Crankcases

Following the Eicma 2018 show in Milan Italy, VE (UK) are excited to announce the upcoming release of two new Vespa PX 200 crankcase from Malossi.

Available in both rotary valve induction (VM577245) and reed valve induction (VM577230), the new casings provide the ideal foundation for building your next performance engine.

The rotary valve crankcase has the ability to reuse the standard SI series carburettors and retain the oil injection system, or can be used with larger carb kits if required. The reed valve crankcase is supplied with a reed valve manifold for carbs up to 30mm in diameter, and has been designed to use a much larger reed block that is equivalent in size to a 6 petal block.

The crankcases have some great advantages over the standard item, replacing the M7 bolts that hold the halves together and replacing them with M8 bolts, and reinforced bolt mounting areas for increased strength in critical areas. Furthermore, Malossi have arranged the transfer ports to line up perfectly with their Vespa PX200 cylinder kit range.

With Malossi’s heritage in Vespa tuning, the new crankcases are sure to be a very popular starting point for performance engine builders looking for excellent reliability, with outstanding quality of finish.

NEW - Malossi Injtronic ECU's for Euro 4 2T 50cc Machines

With emissions rules getting tighter each year, Malossi have developed their new “INJTRONIC” ECU for a range of Euro 4 specification machines, all of which are available through VE (UK).

Designed to offer a “Plug & Play” solution, the “Injtronic” replaces the original ECU giving major improvements over the stock item. This also means that no other sensors are required to be changed from the original parts.

The new ECU increases the rev limiter to 15000 rpm allowing for more performance, while at the same time controlling the secondary air supply (SAS) valve which sits at the bottom of the throttle body. By controlling the SAS valve, the ECU allows a reduction in emissions and optimises engine performance under all operating conditions. Furthermore the ECU modifies the ignition timing map based on engine speed and temperature, which allows for further performance gains.

Malossi have released ten new RX Black exhaust systems for Maxi scooters which are now available through VE (UK).

Manufactured from black anodised aluminium and tipped with a real carbon fibre end cap, the "RX" exhaust features a vibration reduction system using three mounting blocks that have been designed and tested throughly to minimise the effects of transmitted vibration from the scooters engine and road surface. 

The “RX” exhaust is 'E' marked for road use and features a vast range of technological advances but it has also been developed to save weight over a standard system, in fact an “RX” system weighs on average just 3.5kg.

Malossi Torque Drivers from VE (UK)

A commonly overlooked area of a scooters transmission is the rear pulley assembly. Performance can be vastly improved by fitting a Malossi torque driver.

The Malossi torque driver has been designed with recalculated pivot grooves to provide a consistent transmission load across the rev range, this allows the initial transmission power dip to be minimised at low speed acceleration. The torque drivers are manufactured from special nitride steels to ensure a long life, and have been extensively tested on the race circuit. Each torque driver has been developed on CAD-CAM systems specifically for the machine that is designed to fit, further ensuring the best possible performance.

NEW - Handlebar End Mirrors

Adding extra mirrors to any machine allows the user to observe whats happening behind more easily, and these new mirrors allow a wider view without cluttering the handlebars.

Available in chrome or black anodised aluminium, the mirrors replace the standard handlebar end weights (hollow bars required), and are supplied as a pair. 

Fitting is simple, remove the end weights, and use the included tools to tighten the expanding plug to firmly grip the internal surface of the bar. The mirror heads can then be adjusted for tilt and angle and locked in to place with the allen bolts.

VE Actif Lambretta 12v AC Stator Plates

The VE Actif stator plate was developed over several years, with the sole aim of making it the best available item for Lambretta owners using the standard Ducati 12v AC ignition system. 

The extensive testing undertaken found that not all flywheels are manufactured the same, with some offerings requiring the pickup to be a fraction lower than on other stator plates available. The VE Actif stator design has taken all the variables into account, allowing maximum compatibility across a range of flywheels.

The stator plates come pre-terminated with insulated spade connectors for easy fitment and are available with either black or grey wire shrouding.

Malossi's power cams have been finely tuned to generate an optimal and progressive power increase across the rev range when fitted to any scooter. Designed to give a marked improvement in torque giving improved acceleration, especially when combined with Malossi’s RX performance exhaust system. The new Forcemaster ECU features 4 mappings that allow you to take full advantage of the extra performance available after fitting the Malossi RX exhaust and Power Cam. NEW - BGM Pro Touring Cranks for Vespa PX

Vespa PX owners looking for a high quality performance crankshaft will be very interested in the BGM Pro touring cranks now available from VE (UK).

Designed and manufactured to offer superb performance, these forged crankshafts have a much higher material density than their non-forged equivalents, resulting in a longer lasting crankshaft due to the stronger material. 

The lubrication channels have also been improved over OE crankshafts with the big end pin having two large slots and four pockets for oil delivery, whilst the small end features two holes for lubrication purposes.

Available for PX125 and PX200 engines with either a 57mm standard stroke length or 60mm stroke. The longer stroke option is an ideal choice for those increased cylinder capacities that require a 60mm crank, as well as being able to set the timing of the transfer and exhaust ports more easily.

Malossi continue to develop exciting products for the Classic Vespa scooter range under the banner of "VESPower". The Vespa PX ignition kits compliment their recent additions to the Classic Vespa cylinder kit range and new carburettor kits allowing Vespa owners to benefit from new and improved technologies.

The ignition kit for the Vespa PX features a lightened flywheel manufactured from forged aluminium (available in 0.9kg and 1.2kg versions), 12v 4 pole stator with battery charging capabilities, red plastic fan with secondary cooling fans to boost cooling air flow, and an integrated coil and CDI unit. A version for later electric start models is also available with a 1.2kg flywheel.
