The new drive gears feature the same 23 tooth count as the PX200 clutch drive gear but have been specifically machined to fit the 125/150cc clutches and mate with either a 67 or 68 tooth primary drive gear.

Now available from VE (UK) is the Casa Lambretta 225SS cylinder kit for 200cc Lambrettas.

Designed by Casa to provide the best and most powerful 225cc cylinder kit on the market for the Lambretta large block motors, the cylinder kit (CL10025) was tested for 3 years on the race tracks around Europe before being made available to the public. 

Manufactured from a high pressure cast alloy, the cylinder is mated with a forged 39mm compression height piston to provide a perfect piston to bore match. Supplied with a 6 petal reed valve and an inlet manifold suitable for a 34mm carburettor.

The default configuration is supplied with a 39mm compression height piston and inlet rubber to suit a 34mm carb, however other variants available to order include:

NEW - Vespa GTS300 HPE "Speed Wheel"

Brand new at VE (UK) is a cost effective performance upgrade for the Vespa GTS300 HPE scooter.

Although the Vespa GTS HPE has more power at the rear wheel than its predecessors, the top speed unfortunately does not benefit from it due to the inbuilt speed limiter.

The easy to fit “Speed Wheel” (VE60335) sensor ring mounts in place of the original part on the rear wheel, and transmits a true speed reading to the speedometer giving an increase of 6 mph and a more accurate speed reading. A simple recalibration is all thats required to complete the upgrade.

NEW - Malossi Vespa PX200 VR-One Reed Valve Crankcases

Malossi announced their new reed valve crankcases for the Vespa PX 200 at Eicma, Milan in 2018, These are now available from VE (UK). 

The Malossi VR-One MHR (VM577230) crankcase, which has been manufactured in Italy, provides the ideal foundation for your next performance reed valve engine. 

This high quality crankcase has been designed to withstand increased power with reinforcing webbing in key locations and is supplied with main bearings for the flywheel side (Ø25xØ52×15) and for the drive side (Ø25xØ62×12) which both use balls instead of rollers, which offer greater radial load tolerance capacity and an additional resistance to axial loads, which is not possible with the original roller bearings. Dedicated seals are also supplied.

The transfer ports have been machined to “match” the range of Malossi PX200 cylinder kits, saving both time and money on porting work. Supplied with a reed valve manifold suitable for carburettors up to 30mm in size which has been designed for a much larger reed block (included) that is equivalent in size to a 6 petal block.

Gone are the M7 bolts securing the crankcase halves together, and in their place M8 allen bolts now feature. Malossi have also redesigned the mating face to remove the need for a central gasket, (sometimes a cause of problems on high power motors), allowing the use of a gasket sealant in its place.

The crankcase is supplied with engine mounting rubbers, cylinder studs, crankcase bolts, drain plugs and washers, reed valve inlet manifold, crank bearings and oil seals.

Based around a high quality stator plate with precise timing markings for ease of fitting, the ignition kits deliver 110w from tickover resulting in greatly improved lighting output when stationary. The increased output means that additional electrical components such as a fuel pump, or USB port can also be powered without problems.

The included flywheel weighs 1.6kg and mounts to a CNC machined fan with 18 cooling fins, and has been designed to improve throttle response, deliver improved cooling, and have a perfectly balanced rotational mass.

170cc cylinder kit (0631012830): The cylinder kit is manufactured from Nikasil plated aluminium alloy with a high content of hardened and tempered silicone. Final machining of the cylinders with CNC machines ensures a tolerance of less than 0.05mm resulting in a perfect cylinder to piston interface. The cylinder kit must be used in conjunction with the Forcemaster 2 ECU.

Forcemaster 2 ECU (0655018427): The “Force Master 2" ECU has four different pre-configured mappings to suit various tuning configurations. In addition, the ECU unit also raises the rev limiter by 600rpm allowing not only a greater top speed but also improved acceleration throughout the gear range.

Malossi have been hard at work producing a new race specification rotary valve crankshaft for the Vespa PX125/150 range of scooters which is available from VE (UK)

The new innovative design features a unique shape optimised for gas flow by incorporating the suction phase of the 2T cycle in to the crank half. The crank halves have been perfectly balanced through the use of tungsten inserts for counterweights.

The crank has a standard length stroke of 57mm making it suitable for both road and track use on engines using cylinder capacities up to 178cc.

Owners of Classic Vespa PX125/200 and T5 scooters looking to upgrade their clutch for better power delivery with less slipping on a tuned engine will be interested in the new Malossi “Power Up” clutch System available from VE (UK).

Designed to cope with power increases that often double or even triple the motors original output, the new Malossi Power-Up Clutch System feature a clutch basket, which is manufactured from high-resistance steel and a hardening surface treatment with welded reinforcement band, to counteract centrifugal forces that come with high RPM and normally make the basket flex and distort and can lead to cracking.  

Supplied with 4 clutch plates with a high-performance friction compound, the clutches also feature auxiliary springs for use in high power configurations doubling the number of springs in use (6+6 on VM527808 or 7+7 on VM527783) and allowing the user to fine-tune the clutch for their individual application.

Furthermore, the coupling tolerances have been refined between the backplate and the clutch basket increasing the service life of the component, whilst reducing possible metallic rattling noises from the clutch under heavy loads.

2 versions are available VM527808 for 6 (12) Spring 98.5mm clutch, or VM527783 for 7 (14) Spring 109.5mm clutch.

NEW - Malossi "Ventilvar" Static Half Pulleys

Malossi have added 4 new static half pulleys to their product line up that complement the range of Malossi variators perfectly.

The new “Ventilvar” pulleys are finished with a diamond tipped tool on the drive side to ensure a perfect finish and feature a revised working angle to further increase the gearing range of the automatic transmission. The increased cooling benefits offered by the pulley lead to improved transmission performance and less belt slip due to heat.
