Malossi have just announced their latest Classic Vespa product, the “Power Classic” exhaust system for small frame models which is available through VE (UK).

Available for the Vespa ET3 Primavera and the V50/V90 scooters, the exhaust retains the standard look, while the new redesigned internals allow for an instant performance boost across the entire rev range. 

The exhausts are designed and manufactured in Italy, and are supplied with an  exhaust manifold that has been designed specifically to allow direct fitment to either the standard cylinder or to the top performing Malossi cylinders.

Vespa PX125 Performance Cylinder Kits

VE (UK) offer a wide range of performance products for the PX 125 from leading tuning specialists. The most popular upgrade for the PX 125 is a performance cylinder kit, with options available from Malossi, Pinasco, and Polini.

Malossi:

The iconic 166cc cylinder kit from Malossi has recently seen an upgrade to the included cylinder head. The head now features a central plug hole and cooling fins on the underside to dissipate heat better than ever before.  

Pinasco:

Pinasco offer two 177cc cylinder kits, one manufactured in cast iron, and one made from aluminium. Both cylinders are supplied with matching cylinder head. 

Also available is the new Pinasco Vespone RX 190cc cylinder kit is also available, which requires a 60mm stroke crankshaft to be used.

Polini:

Polini offer two 177cc cylinder kits for, a cast iron cylinder, and an aluminium cylinder.

Also available is a Polini 187cc aluminium kit which requires the use of a larger carb and a 60mm crankshaft, further expand the possibilities for tuning the classic Vespa. 

All the above cylinder kits include gaskets (where required), gudgeon pin, and circlips.

Malossi Power Cams for 4T Scooters & Moto 125's

Malossi's performance enhancing engine parts for tuning 4t scooters includes a range of camshafts for capacities from 50cc to 530cc and also Moto 125 machines.

Malossi's power cams have been finely tuned to generate an optimal and progressive power increase across the rev range when they are matched with a Malossi cylinder. The camshafts are the result from an extensive engine testing procedure using their in house dyno, and track testing. 

Manufactured from a high grade steel alloy which has been case hardened and ground to produce a high lift re-profiled lobe for both maximum performance and reliability.

Lambretta exhausts:

Franspeed Super Tourer

The Franspeed Super Tourer is designed to deliver more power and torque at low to mid range, making it one of their most powerful touring exhausts to date. Supplied with standard and TS1 manifolds. Available for Series 3 Lambrettas in a black or stainless steel finish, and for the Series 1 and 2 models in black. 

Franspeed 3:

The Franspeed 3 exhaust is designed to be the best performing all round exhaust making great mid range power and torque and still able to hold the power through to the higher revs. Supplied with standard and TS1 manifolds. Available for series 2 and 3 Lambrettas in black, clear, stainless steel and polished stainless steel finishes.

Franspeed RB Tour:

The Franspeed RB Touring exhaust is designed to make power at low to mid revs, and designed to make riding a pleasure, it will still hold the power through to the high revs, but as this make its power lower in the rev range it makes for a much easier ride. Supplied with an RB cylinder style manifold. Available for series 3 Lambrettas in black and polished steel finishes.

Franspeed TS1 Race & RB Race:

The Franspeed Race exhaust is designed to make power at mid to high revs, and to hold the power to much higher revs than the touring exhausts. Supplied with either a TS1 or RB type manifold depending on system ordered. Available for Series 3 Lambrettas in a black finish.

All Franspeed Lambretta exhausts feature a nylon bush mounting to reduce wear and a 3 point rear muffler bracket.

Vespa exhausts:

Available for the Vespa PX 125/150 and PX 200 models in left or right hand mounted versions and is spring mounted to the manifold for ease of fitment. 

The exhaust system is manufactured from mild steel, finished in black, and topped off with a stainless steel end can. The end can is fully rebuildable for repacking when the need arises.

NEW - Pinasco Vespa Small Frame Crankcases

VE (UK) showcase the latest performance product from Italian Classic Vespa specialists Pinasco.

The new Pinasco crankcase for the Vespa Small frame is available in two versions, the “Slave Naked” for rotary induction, and the “Slave 8X” for reed valve induction, featuring an 8 petal reed block. 

Both versions utilise a 88mm diameter Pinasco crankshaft, and feature larger bearing seats, and reinforcement on critical stress areas. 

Pinasco have also introduced a system to allow the gear cluster to be changed without removing the engine from the frame, and only having to remove the clutch assembly to access the removal of the gear cluster. This has been achieved by developing their “Removable gear system” to allow racers to easily swap out ratios in the paddocks with the minimum of fuss.

Malossi Transmission Products for Vespa GTS300

Owners of the Vespa GTS 300 looking to refine the performance from their scooters transmission assembly are well catered for by Italian scooter tuning specialists Malossi.

Their transmission range includes, amongst other items, a performance variator assembly, kevlar drive belt, and the Delta adjustable clutch kit.

Multivar variator

Keihin Type Universal Carburettors

Choosing a performance carburettor can often be a tricky affair with so many offerings on the market today. VE (UK) stock a great range of Keihin type universal 2T carbs, which are available in 24mm, 28mm, and 30mm.

The rubber mounted carbs are suitable for fitment to any 2T machine and are particular suited to Vespa and Lambretta scooters that are being tuned. Supplied with carb rubber, fuel hose and clips, and jubilee clips. Of particular note is that the 24mm version uses a 28/30mm carb rubber increasing the number of inlet manifolds to choose from.

All sizes feature a “D” shaped polished slide with the 24mm version also sporting a power jet. VE (UK) stock a wide range of jets, cable choke conversion, and spares for the carburettors.
