NEW - Malossi PX 225cc Race Cylinder

Malossi have further enhanced their Vespa PX cylinder line up with a new 225cc race kit, which is imported by VE (UK), the sole official Factory Appointed Sole UK Importer for Malossi Performance Products.

Like its 210cc MHR little brother, the 225 cylinder kit features redesigned transfer and exhaust ports to allow for maximum performance combined with a single ring piston kit. The new 225 kit has a taller cylinder which requires the use of a 60mm stroke crankshaft with heavily modified crankcases, a carburettor of 30mm or greater in diameter, and a expansion exhaust system. In addition, the cylinder head is located using two centring dowels to guarantee perfect alignment between the head and cylinder. 

Malossi also manufacture an uprated set of crank bearings and PTFE oils seals to ensure the minimal amount of friction is placed on the crank.

Malossi crank bearings:

The bearing set from Malossi offers significant benefits over standard replacement bearings available, with oversized balls, carbon-nitrided inner rings, steel and polymide cages to improve not only longevity but all lubrication properties. Malossi have also had the bearings designed with reinforcement to allow for greater loads for heavy duty applications.

Malossi oil seals:

Each oil seal is built around a carbon steel structure for strength and encapsulated with FKM, a special mix of synthetic rubber and fluoroploymer elastomers, with the auxiliary dust and primary sealing lips manufactured from PTFE. The use of PTFE ensures a very low friction and high wear resistance on the rotating mating surfaces. To maintain a constant pressure on the rotating shafts, Malossi have utilised a stainless steel spring for added durability.

VE (UK) also stock a Mazzucchelli 60mm crankshaft suitable for fitment with the new Malossi 225cc Race cylinder kit.

The use of a fuel tap (VE13092) with an increased flow rate is required to ensure enough fuel can reach the carburettor.
