Owners of the Vespa T5 who have been trying to source a new head for their standard cylinder, or looking at having theirs machined for a Malossi 172cc cylinder kit, will be interested in the new SIP heads now available from VE (UK).
The standard 125cc version has an internal diameter of 56mm and a 1.2mm drop from the gasket face to squish face, giving a compression ratio of 11.5:1, and uses a standard gasket for sealing. Both heads are manufactured from high quality aluminium
The version for the Malossi 172cc cylinder utilises a o’ring for sealing as found on the Malossi heads for the PX, an internal diameter of 66mm and a 1.2mm drop from the gasket face to squish face giving a compression ratio of 12.5:1.
