NEW - Malossi MHR Vespa Small Frame Performance

Following hot on the heels of the updated Vespa PX cylinders, Malossi have produced a new MHR cylinder kit for the range of small frame Vespa scooters. 

This is the first time the MHR (Malossi Hyper Racing) brand has been applied to a small frame Vespa cylinder kit, manufactured entirely from aluminium. The new MHR cylinder utilises an o’ ring head gasket and the cylinder increases the engines capacity to 135cc, being designed from the ground up. The MHR cylinder benefits from 6 transfer ports which have been developed through the know-how and technological developments gained through decades of scooter racing. The MHR cylinder features an exhaust port with 2 boost ports and an inlet port that is bridged to further support the single piston ring. The MHR cylinder kit can be used with either with the standard crankcase induction system, or the new reed valve inlet manifold kit, that mounts directly to the cylinder inlet port.

The MHR cylinder kit designed for the most demanding users and is capable of delivering a vastly increased power output (18-23cv) and capable of reaching up to 11,000 rpm.

Malossi have are also releasing in conjunction with the MHR cylinder kit, a new reed valve inlet manifold kit to help extract the maximum performance from the cylinder. Designed to be used with a carburettor from 25mm to 30mm, the inlet manifold kit has been developed using fluid dynamics software to keep an almost straight path from the carburettor to intake. The new manifold kit also allows the carburettor to remain within the confines of the scooters bodywork, positioning the carb in the standard position, thus removing the bodywork modifications that are often associated with carbs over 25mm. 

The new MHR 135cc cylinder kit carries the part number of VM315829 whilst the Inlet manifold kit has the part number of VM206319. Retail prices including Vat, are £367.01 and £199.69 respectively.
