New Polini 135cc Evolution Cylinders For Small Frame Vespas



Polini have been hard at work in their research and development department creating these true works of art for the small frame Vespa's. Designed and manufactured to the highest possible standards, these new cylinder kits encompass the true Polini company ethos of performance, quality, and value for money.

Produced for the discerning Scooterist, these new 135cc cylinders will provide the user with both the performance and quality they have been yearning for. For those owners who already have the previous incarnation of the fantastic 135cc kit fitted to their machines, the new style cylinder head is available separately to enhance the cooling characteristics.

POLINI EVOLUTION KIT FOR 125 VESPA PRIMAVERA ET3 - VP400211

Polini Motori has designed a new Evolution kit with rotary valve induction for the 125 Vespa Primavera ET3.
It has great power features at every kind of use including race. The "Evolution" kit with rotary valve induction can be fitted to all 125 Vespa small frames with a standard crankshaft. Also available a Polini balanced crankshaft, part no. 210.0033 with its connecting rod milled from a solid, that maintains the original 51mm stroke.

Besides the original manifold it's possible to fit the Polini manifolds with 2 or 3 holes, according to your scooter model.
Another manifold has also been designed to be fitted together with the PWK Polini carburetor, available in three different measures: 24/26/28mm. To achieve the maximum performance it should be assembled with the Polini Evolution 2 muffler, part no. 200.0291.
It can also be assembled together with the Polini vintage mufflers, part no. 200.2025/S or 200.2025, the road legal version.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

Cylinder cast in aluminium, with bore of 57mm.
The liner with Nickel-Siliceous coating improves the piston sliding, its resistance to wear and abrasion.
The transfer ports are designed for racing. It has 6 transfers.
The piston is gravity cast in light alloy and it has two S10 chromed cast iron rings.
After its working the piston has been covered with special molybdenum-bisulphide coating that improves the piston sliding during the running in period.
The head is cast in one piece only and some fins have been made under the head plane in order to improve the heat dissipation.
The compression ratio has been designed to achieve the best performance.

POLINI KIT FOR 125 VESPA PRIMAVERA ET3: "REED EVOLUTION" - VP400212

Polini Motori has produced a new Evolution kit with a reed valve induction in the cylinder for the 125 Vespa Primavera ET3. This creates an engine that is really powerful in every kind of driving condition, including races. The kit with "Reed Evolution" induction in the cylinder comes with: cylinder, piston, head, reed valve intake manifold and a gasket kit. The cylinder is cast in aluminium with bore of 57mm.

The liner with Nickel-Siliceous coating improves the piston movement, it is resistant to wear and abrasion. The transfer ports are designed for racing. It has 6 transfers. The transfer has a central bridge for a better exhaust gas scavenging. The head is cast in one piece only and some fins have been made under the head plane in order to improve the heat dissipation. The compression ratio has been designed to achieve the best performance.
The piston is cast in aluminium and it has one S10 chromed cast iron ring. In the latter stages of manufacture, the piston is covered with special molybdenum-bisulphide coating that improves the piston movement during the running in period.

The reed valve has 6 carbon flaps of 0,4 mm thickness and the geometry of the flow guide allows it to improve of the air-petrol mixtures incoming speed.
The intake manifold has been developed to be matched with the PWK Polini carburettor, available in three different sizes: 24/26/28mm. To be able to fit this cylinder kit, it is required to bore the crankshaft housing in the case. It is necessary to change the original crankshaft with a new Polini one, part no. 210.0034.

By fitting these parts you achieved a 135cc of displacement according to the sprint scooter races’ rules.
To achieve the best performance fit the Polini Evolution 2 muffler, part no. 200.0291

POLINI KIT FOR 125CC VESPA PRIMAVERA ET3 WITH NEW HEAD: RACING GENERATION - VP400050-R

Polini Motori has fully updated the famous cylinder kit for Vespa 125 Primavera ET3, now available as RACING model too complete with cylinder head that has been manufactured to improve the cooling. The head can be purchased separately - VP110319.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

The cylinder is made of lamellar graphitic cast iron self lubricated and wear resistant. It assures better mechanical resistance.
It reduces the engine working temperature and avoids possible loss of power. Bore of 57mm. Liner with 6 transfers.
Piston, gravity cast in light alloy with high silicon content and two cast iron "S10"chromed piston rings.
Aluminium cast head with two fins that better dissipates the heat both in the top and in the bottom. It improves the cooling and the compression ratio.
It has a new copper gasket that eliminates the gasses escaping between the head and cylinder but still allows the heat to transfer easier.
