The 172cc cylinder is manufactured from aluminium which has a nicasil plated bore, featuring a 5 port design with increased cooling capabilities due to the redesigned fin layout.
The cylinder can be fitted to either the standard unmodified crankcases, or for maximum power output, modifications can be made to the cases as required. Fitting the cylinder kit to an otherwise unmodified T5 will only require minor jetting alterations.
Further performance increases can be made by combining the 172cc cylinder kit with a larger carburettor kit and performance exhaust system. Owners that wish to use the Malossi Power PX 125 exhaust system with the cylinder kit can utilise the VE “T5 exhaust stub kit (part number VE13093)” that is available at an extra cost.
Supplied as a complete kit with cylinder, piston, gudgeon pin, piston circlips, small end bearing, gasket set, and exhaust studs.
